As with any legal situation, when you are filing for divorce, you might want to have a lawyer or someone who knows about law go over your divorce kit to make sure that you or your spouse havent missed anything important that might come back to haunt you later. Each state has its own rules and regulations about how long you must be separated before filing for divorce. You also need to check the residency requirements of the state you are intending to get divorced in.
